Did You Know?

All Saints Day is today.  It's the a day set aside of remembrance for those Christians who have gone on before us. AND did you know it's the birthday of the New Orleans Saints?  True Dat.  They are 46 today!  On this date in 1966, the NFL officially approved the New Orleans application that gave the Crescent City its first first professional sports team.

Tonight at 7pm, you can watch “The 46th Annual CMA Awards" on WBRZ Channel 2...Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Zac Brown Band, Vince Gill, Hunter Hayes, Keith Urban Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Sugarland, and The Band Perry.  It will be hosted for the fifth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, and will air live from Nashville.

Of course, the first week of November is the home-stretch of the presidential election. So, it should come as no surprise that the early Anglo-Saxons referred to November as the “Wind Month.” Politicians, TV talking heads and radio news/talk hosts have gotten WAY out of control.

As exciting as all of THAT is, for me personally there's nothing that gets me going more than THIS recognition:  November is also National Peanut Butter Month.  Stays sticky (and crunchy where applicable) sandwich after sandwich!  The Wal-mart brand may cost less, but choosy DJ's choose Jiff.

Here are MORE Important Dates in November:

November 3:  It is NATIONAL MEN MAKE DINNER DAY!  Ladies just watch in amazement our dazzling moves and fast hands with the pots, pans, and the fire extinquisher. Last year, I celebrated with omletes.
Still a work in progress.

November 4:  This Sunday morning at 2am, we return to standard time--An extra hour of sleep--Except AZ, HI, and Puerto Rico.

November 11: Veterans Day.  Remember those vets from yesterday and today.

November 22:  Thanksgiving Day (Start “banking” calories NOW, because gobbling will follow!)

Now, some of ya'll may add Christmas Shopping Season would begin on November 23rd, but that doesn't hit me until the 23rd of December!  Again. DON'T JUDGE ME!
