If you are thinking about starting that diet today, well hold on to your calories. A new study shows that Tuesday is the worst day of the week to begin a diet. It's much better to start on a Sunday or Monday.

The stats from Tesko Diets (and published in the Daily Mail) show that new dieters are far more likely to lose the most weight when they begin the program on those two days. Dieters who start on a Tuesday are the most likely to lose their resolve within a week -- and end up heavier than when they started. And it those Tuesday dieters have a particularly stressful week at work, the majority will ditch the diet by Friday.  On Sunday?

The dieters in this study lost an average of 8 lb over three weeks -- and 88 percent then kept that weight off. Hey, check the calendar on this Tuesday the 16th.  Halloween candy collection is in about 2 weeks.  Back to the elyptical...again...and again.
