The Flu is Bad for Our Pets this Year

So dog flu is a real thing, but can we catch it from them or can they catch it from us? Not unlike humans this has been a bad year for the flu for dogs, too.

Symptoms of the Canine flu include runny nose, cough, and loss of appetite. Experts say it is unlikely that the dog flu will be transmitted to humans but they caution, dogs and cats can sometimes be infected with human strains of influenza. Most often though they catch strains of the flu at dog parks, kennels and pretty much anywhere they come in contact with other animals that could be carrying the flu.

Check with your vet as many have a flu vaccine for our pets.
